The research results and their discussion. The article presents the developed structural and functional model of organization of research activities of students of physical education universities. The model is based on the job descriptions of employees, qualification requirements of the scientific and pedagogical staff and the regulations of the Community of Young Scientists and Students. Based on the management functions, the blocks of the model and their content were formed. The functions are traced both in the overall research work of the university and in the work of each individual structure.
Conclusion. The developed structural and functional model can be used as a standard for developing a structural-functional model of the activities of any higher education institution.
