The article presents the results of a study aimed at analyzing the daily routine and assessing its impact on the health of students at a sports university.
Methods and organization of the research. The daily routine features of 300 students of the Volga Region State University of Physical Culture, Sports and Tourism were studied based on their daily routine diaries. The risk associated with the impact of sleep and wakefulness disorders on health was carried out in accordance with the methodological recommendations 2.1.10.0033-11, the relative risk of developing health problems and the etiological proportion of factors due to the students' daily routine were calculated. Data were processed using IBM SPSS v19.
Research results and their discussion. For most students at the sports university, the greatest amount of time during the day was occupied on: sleep (35.0 (32.0; 37.5)% of the daily time budget), studies (13.5 (9.9; 16.0)%) and the use of information and communication technologies (ICT) (12.3 (8.7; 16.6)%). The level of health risk associated with non-compliance with the daily routine and wakefulness was assessed as “very high” and “high” by 63.4% of athletes, and as “high” and “medium” by 65.2% of female athletes. At the same time, 41.3% of non-athletes had a «low» risk level, and 45.1% of non-athletes had a «medium» risk level.
Conclusion. The leading behavioral health risk factors for students of a sports university associated with the features of the daily routine are: sleep and wakefulness disorders (characteristic of 64.3% of non-athlete students and 84.7% of student-athletes), late bedtime (77.6% and 63.6%, respectively), long-term use of ICT (74.2% and 48.2%, respectively). Long-term use of ICT by students increased the risk of developing eye diseases and its adnexa by 8.2 times.
