The research purpose is to scientifically substantiate and develop an organizational model of physical culture and wellness work with elderly women at the place of residence.
Methods and organization of the research: theoretical analysis and generalization of data from scientific and methodological literature and documentary materials, sociological research, modeling.
Research results and discussion. The importance of systematic physical education classes for elderly people has been updated. A content analysis of modern domestic and foreign literature and a sociological study of elderly women were conducted. The materials of the conducted research confirm the need to take into account the normative and legal guarantees for the population at the place of residence. The result of the study is a scientifically substantiated organizational model of physical culture and wellness work with elderly women at the place of residence, the structure of which presents the network interaction of subjects of the physical culture and sports environment of the municipality on a territorial basis.
Conclusion. Using the previously obtained results of a theoretical analysis of scientific and methodological literature and a questionnaire survey of residents of the Tchaikovsky urban district, the authors propose an organizational model of physical culture and wellness classes for elderly women, providing for the use of sports infrastructure of educational organizations and resources of the executive authorities of the urban district. The implementation of the author's model will increase the level of physical fitness, improve functional capabilities and form personal qualities in elderly women.
