The research purpose: to develop motor tests for stage-by-stage monitoring of the level of development of specific apparatus coordination of gymnasts and to test them for authenticity (information content and reliability).

Methods and organization of the research. Pedagogical testing was conducted using the developed tests to assess the specific apparatus coordination of 37 gymnasts aged 14-20 years. Statistical verification of the authenticity of the developed motor tests was performed.

Results of the research and their discussion. The lack of proper pedagogical control over the level of development of specific apparatus coordination in the preparation of gymnasts, revealed as a result of our study, became the basis for developing specific motor tests. Four types of control exercises are proposed, which include complex coordinated actions of the apparatus (tennis balls) and the gymnast's body under conditions of a given tempo-rhythm, limited visual control and vestibular load, typical for competitive exercises in rhythmic gymnastics. The developed tests are informative (r in the range from 0.938 to 0.503), reliable (Temp, p> 0.05), but not equivalent, therefore they should be used as a single set of tests.

Conclusion. A set of tests was developed, which included four complex coordination motor tasks with tennis balls: 1 – «Synchronized throws and returns of tennis balls with both hands with a jump», 2 – «Sequential throws and catching the ball behind the back», 3 – «Throw and catch the ball after rotation in a given space», 4 – «Throw and catch the ball under the foot after rotation in a given space». Standards are proposed as criteria for assessing high, medium and low levels of development of specific apparatus coordination in adult gymnasts.
