The purpose is to identify indicators of special physical fitness of football players of the student team that limit the effectiveness of their playing actions using the Wingate-test.
Methods and organization of the research. A laboratory study of the special physical fitness of 20 football players of the student team was conducted using a modified Wingate-test.
Results of the research and their discussion. Analysis of the results showed a high level of speed-strength fitness of student football players, where the relative peak power was at the level of 12.80 ± 0.05, and the time to reach peak power was less than 2 seconds. However, a drop in power by the end of the test at the level of 23.17% ± 1.08 indicates an insufficient level of development of speed endurance among student football players.
Conclusion. An insufficient level of anaerobic endurance during repeated sprints is an indicator that limits physical performance in conditions close to competitive activity.
