Article
The purpose of the research is to determine the level of anaerobic performance and body fractional composition of student hockey players at the end of the competitive period.
Methods and organization of the research. The study was conducted in the laboratory of scientific and methodological support for sports training of the Moscow State Academy of Physical Culture. The survey involved undergraduate and graduate hockey students (n = 20) aged 18 to 22 years, who make up the MGAFK national team. Permission to conduct research on the subjects was obtained. Functional testing of hockey players was carried out in late March – early April 2024 for 2 weeks in the afternoon before training or on a rest day and included the following test procedures: anthropometric measurements using the AIST device and the Diamant software to determine the body composition of athletes (muscle body mass (MBM%), body fat mass (BFM%) and total body weight (kg)); Wingate test, 30-second anaerobic test on the MONARK Ergomedic 894 E bicycle ergometer with the Monark Anaerobic Test Analysis software to determine anaerobic performance. During the test, peak power (W), relative peak power (W/kg) and fatigue index (%) were recorded.
Research results and their discussion. The article presents a comparison of the functional state indicators of student hockey players (SHP) and qualified hockey players (QHP) at the end of the competitive period of the annual training cycle.
Conclusion. In the course of the study, the obtained indicators of anaerobic performance and body fractional composition of the hockey players of the student national team at the end of the competitive training period were compared with similar data of the Russian junior national hockey team. A comparative analysis of the studied indicators of the hockey players of the student national team and qualified hockey players showed that the hockey players of the student national team had lower (p<0.05) indicators of anaerobic power and higher (p<0.05) indicators of anaerobic endurance compared to qualified players. Thus, it can be stated that the players of the student team are characterized by a low level of speed-strength training. In addition, the student hockey players, with the same volume of muscle mass (p>0.05), had a significantly higher volume of fat mass (p<0.05) compared to qualified players, which indicates a low level of their training.
