The purpose of the research is to determine the model characteristics of special physical and technical-tactical preparedness of qualified judoists.

Methods and organization of the research. The methods of theoretical analysis of scientific and methodological literature and generalization of practical experience of specialists, pedagogical observation, pedagogical testing and methods of mathematical statistics were used in the work. The study involved 20 judoists aged 18-23 years with the qualification of «Master of Sports of Russia». The study was conducted at the sports grounds of the Federation of Judo and Belt Wrestling of the Samara Region and the laboratory of the Tchaikovsky State Physical Culture and Sports Academy from September 2023 to May 2024.

Research results and their discussion. The application of the normality distribution test and the sigma deviation method allowed us to determine the model characteristics of special physical (continuous execution of exercises 15 times, throws of a wrestling dummy in 30 sec and 3 min, a special functional test, the quality of the balance function, coefficients of a sharp change in the direction of movement and Romberg coefficient) and technical-tactical (activity, reliability of attacking actions, effectiveness in a standing position and on the ground, reliability of defense, combinationality, general and effective variability in a standing position and on the ground, varieties of the tempo of the fight) preparedness of qualified judoists with a gradation of results on a scale consisting of five intervals of values: «low level» – «below average level» – «average level» – «above average level» (model level) – «high level».

Conclusion. The presented model characteristics can be used in modeling and managing the sports training of judoists at the training stage and the stage of improving sports skills, and can be a target guideline for the preparation of a sports reserve in judo.
