Article
The purpose of the research is to theoretically substantiate and develop a methodology of physical training for esports athletes.
Methods and organization of the research. The following methods were used in the work: analysis of scientific and methodological literature, questionnaire survey, pedagogical analysis of video recordings of gaming sessions of esports athletes, pedagogical observation, testing of cognitive indicators and physical fitness, methods of mathematical statistics.
Research results and discussion. Based on the pedagogical analysis of video recordings of gaming sessions in computer sports, a questionnaire survey, testing cognitive indicators and physical fitness of esports athletes, a physical training methodology was developed, consisting of methodological, content, organizational and evaluative components. The content component of the methodology includes developmental, gaming, neuro-athletic and “preventive” blocks.
Conclusion. We assume that the implementation of the developed physical training methodology will contribute to an increase in the gaming and cognitive indicators of esports athletes, their physical fitness and performance.
