The research purpose was a sanitary and microbiological examination of the air quality of the wrestling gym during the training day.
Methods and organization of the research. A sanitary and microbiological assessment of the air in the wrestling gym was carried out. Air sampling in the gym was carried out using the method of sedimentation (meat-extract and yolk-salt agar), exposure time was 15 minutes. Samples were taken 5 times during the training day. A qualitative assessment of the microflora of the air in the sports hall was carried out by identifying colonies of microorganisms using a mass spectrometer MALDI Microflex Biotyper. Data processing was carried out using computer programs IBM SPSS v19.
Results and discussion. A significant increase in microbial contamination of the air was established during the training day. 18 types of microorganisms were found in the air of the gym. The most common gym air contaminants were M. luteus and S. hominis, which belong to the normal microbiota of human skin.
Conclusion. Despite the increase in the number of microorganisms in the air of the gym, microbial contamination of the air corresponded to a safe level.
