The purpose: to analyze the state of development of student Phygital-sports and priority directions for its development.
Methods and organization of research. Within the study, a survey of 1000 students and experts in the development of physical education and sports, particularly E-sports and student Phygital-sports in higher and special educational institutions of the Republic of Tatarstan, was conducted. Data processing was done using Microsoft Office Excel 2007. The obtained data were converted into percentages using the formula: X = n * 100% / N, where n is the specific amount, N is the total amount of the determined indicator, and x is the determined percentage.
The results of the research and their discussion. The research revealed that 79% of surveyed students play computer games with varying frequency, indicating the high popularity of gaming culture among this audience. 51% of respondents express interest in Phygital-sports, while 55% believe that Phygital-sports are important for the development of modern youth. 77% express positive attitude towards integrating E-sports as an official sport in educational institutions. Additionally, 85% show interest in participating in student tournaments in Phygital-sports. Analysis of expert surveys showed that educational institutions strive to support students' interest in the development of Phygital-sports. 57% are willing to provide necessary funding, while 35% stated that conditions for developing Phygital-sports have been created based on existing cyber sports clubs in their educational institution. Alongside the growing interest of students in Phygital-sports, the average rating of the level of equipment in educational institutions for training athletes in Phygital-sports amounted to 3.8 out of 5, indicating insufficient material and technical support. Moreover, the average rating of personnel support was 3.6 out of 5, indicating a shortage of qualified personnel for the development of Phygital-sports in higher and special educational institutions of the Republic of Tatarstan.
Conclusion. The results of the study provide evidence that the market for Phygital-sports is currently at its peak popularity among youth, including students. There is a high readiness in educational institutions of the Republic of Tatarstan to organize training and competitive processes, but this is hindered by factors such as a lack of specialists, including judges, low material and technical equipment, skepticism among specialists towards online sports, risks of negative public opinion, and insufficient knowledge and experience in organizing training and events in Phygital-sports.
