The purpose: to study the quantitative performance indicators of model sites that involved the population in systematic outdoor sports activities in the constituent entities of the Russian Federation (St. Petersburg, Tyumen region, Udmurt Republic).
Methods and organization of research. The study examined reports from regions of the Russian Federation that implemented the involvement of the population in outdoor sports activities, according to orders of the Ministry of Sports of the Russian Federation No. 175 dated March 1, 2019 and No. 171 dated March 3, 2022.
Research results and discussion. The best practices of involving the population in outdoor sports activities in St. Petersburg have been identified: the organization of physical education centers, sports and health centers with a sufficient number of coaches, material and technical support and a large number of types of yard sports. In the Tyumen region, to implement the involvement of the population in yard sports, 8 projects were developed aimed at working with citizens of different ages, as well as the appropriate material and technical support for training with coaches in a wide range of sports. An innovative approach to managing the activities of organizing yard sports in the Tyumen region is marketing promotion of the interaction «Authorities-Society-Business» («Authorities» – interdepartmental interaction, «Society» – the population, «Business» – interested social partners). In the Udmurt Republic, the model site’s activities were aimed at involving citizens only of retirement age (the Udmurt Longevity project) with the necessary material and technical support for the implementation of the project, an equivalent staff of coaches and a narrow range of sports.
Conclusion. According to the conducted correlation analysis, it can be stated that the increase in the population systematically engaged in yard sports will increase provided that the number of coaches, types of yard sports and logistical support for yard sports increase.
