The research purpose is to examine the characteristics of autonomic regulation in soccer players aged 12-14 years.
Methods and organization of the research. Using the hardware complex «Poly-Spectrum-12E» the heart rate variability indices were determined. The study involved 20 soccer players (experimental group) and 15 young men (control group) who were not involved in sports (except for physical education lessons in the general regime) aged 12-14 years. The longitudinal study was conducted over two years.
Results of the research and their discussion. In football players, by the end of the first year and before the beginning of the second year, a decrease in heart rate (HR) was found (P<0.05), indicating the prevalence of the parasympathetic nervous system in the regulation of heart rate. At the beginning of the second year, the football players show a significant increase in the variation range index, which causes a slowdown in the heart rate, which may indicate good physical fitness and adaptation of the body to the loads. The boys in the control group show a tendency to decrease heart rate over two years.
Conclusion. During the experiment, we noted the following: effective organization of the training process and successful adaptation of schoolchildren aged 12-14 to the proposed physical activity lead to increased activity of the parasympathetic nervous system, which is confirmed by reliable changes in the indicators in the experimental group (the group of soccer players).
