In this regard the vital issues comprise the content, structure and methods of physical training for young football players. The main components of general and special physical fitness are speed, endurance, agility, flexibility and strength. The higher is the level of motor abilities development, the easier it is to master the techniques necessary for a game. And on the contrary, the better technical skills are developed, the more successful is the realization of motor abilities. The purpose: to identify the effectiveness of elaborated training methods in general gymnastics to upgrade the level of physical excellence of young football players. Research methods and organization. The following methods were used: analysis of scientific and methodical literature, comparative pedagogical experiment, control tests, a method of mathematical and statistical processing of the results. At the primary stage of the study the author investigated the level of physical fitness of young football players and compared it with the regulatory requirements of the Federal Standard of Sport Training in Football. Significant deviations in the physical fitness of young football players were revealed. The author made an attempt to use the elements of basic gymnastics at PT classes along with training process in order to refine physical fitness of young football players. Assessment of the effect of basic gymnastics on physical fitness of young football players was carried out on the basis of a comparative pedagogical experiment which lasted for three years with the allocation of experimental and control groups. Results of research. At the primary stage, there were no significant differences between the results of tests of the control and experimental groups of young players. The final stage of the experiment demonstrated significant changes in the development level of special physical fitness in the experimental group in comparison with the control group. Conclusion. The results of pedagogical experiment showed significant increase in the level of physical fitness of the football players of the experimental group using the elaborated methods.
