The purpose of the research is to theoretically and experimentally substantiate the methods of physical rehabilitation of children with cerebral palsy using the sensory-dynamic hall "House of the Owl", aimed at correcting their motor functions.
Methods and organization of research. Analysis and synthesis of scientific and methodological literature, a method of control tests to assess motor abilities, a pedagogical experiment, and methods of mathematical statistics.
Ten children diagnosed with cerebral palsy (aged 7-10 years) were examined. The analysis of functional mobility indicators in children diagnosed with paraparesis (weakness and partial paralysis of the lower limbs) was conducted using 5 control tests, and the dynamics of these indicators were tracked throughout the experimental period.
Research results and their discussion. Considering the identified features, a physical rehabilitation methodology was developed to correct the motor skills of children with cerebral palsy using the sensory-dynamic hall "House of the Owl". The methodology consists of five interconnected blocks:
Block 1: Activation and proprioceptive exercises with and without objects, aimed at preparing the sensorimotor system, activating the feet and torso, and deep stabilization.
Block 2: Balance and stabilization exercises, aimed at developing static and reactive equilibrium and support reactions.
Block 3: Coordination and play exercises, aimed at improving visual-motor coordination, movement accuracy, and planning through play tasks.
Block 4: Strength and functional exercises, aimed at strengthening the hip/knee extensors and torso, developing transitional skills and endurance.
Block 5: Exercises aimed at reducing spasticity, lengthening shortened muscles, recovery, and relaxation.
The experimental methodology was tested over a period of 9 months.
Conclusion. The implementation of the experimental methodology contributed to the correction of motor functions in children with cerebral palsy.
