Article
Relevance and research purpose. Due to the development of communication tools and widespread information accessibility, modern methods of athletes' physical and technical training are no longer a "know-how," leading to a leveling of athletes' physical and technical preparedness. Under such conditions, psychological training becomes a significant resource for improving performance, serving as a decisive factor for victory or defeat in competitions. Psychological preparation plays a particularly crucial role in combat sports.
Methods and organization of research. The article discusses the practical and theoretical features of psychological training for athletes in Kyokushinkai (a full-contact style of karate), organized in sports sections and clubs. An analysis of contemporary research and practical methods for organizing such training was conducted, and the basic components of psychological support for athletes were identified.
Research results and their discussion. It was found that the psychological training of athletes in Kyokushinkai clubs represents a complex system with significant differences from similar work in state-funded sports organizations or national teams. Key elements of this system are: 1) an individualized approach to the psychological preparation of each athlete; 2) systematic use of modern and traditional methods for managing stress and anxiety; 3) continuous work on long-term motivation and goal-setting; 4) integration of psychological training into the training process.
Conclusion. The further development of psychological training in Kyokushinkai should be aimed at developing more refined psychodiagnostic tools, creating specialized programs for different weight categories and individual psychological types of athletes, and conducting in-depth study of the influence of psychological state on the effectiveness of technical actions under competitive stress.
