The research purpose: to conduct an analytical review of modern scientific publications to identify current directions and trends in the study of coordination abilities development in young tennis players at various stages of sports training.

Methods and research design. An analysis of Russian and international scientific works from 2000 to 2025 was conducted. The search was carried out in the Elibrary, Google Scholar, PubMed, and Research Gate databases using keywords. From an initial selection of 1000 publications, 51 articles relevant to the research topic were selected.

Results and discussion. Based on the analysis, four main groups of studies related to coordination in tennis were identified. The first group includes studies aimed at identifying the most significant types of coordination abilities depending on age, training stage, or technical actions. The second group comprises studies on the patterns of the relationship between coordination abilities and the training process in tennis. The third group consists of publications containing exercise complexes, methodologies, and specialized equipment for developing coordination. The fourth group includes works devoted to the assessment of coordination abilities in tennis players.

Conclusion. The conducted review confirms the priority of coordination development at the initial stages of training and identifies its key types: kinesthetic differentiation, reaction speed, visual-motor coordination, and balance. The scarcity of works on the methodology of monitoring coordination abilities indicates the need for further development in creating objective systems for controlling coordination levels.
