The purpose of the research: to theoretically substantiate and develop an adaptation model for the development of Olympic sports.

Methods and organization of the research. The study employed pedagogical methods (analysis and synthesis of scientific and methodological literature) and theoretical-logical methods (systematization and forecasting).

Results and discussion. An adaptation model for the development of Olympic sports has been developed, providing a sequential description of the phases, levels, factors, types, and outcomes of Olympic adaptation. This model enables a systematic examination of the issue of constant rotation of sports within the Games program. The creation of this model utilized an interdisciplinary approach, based on the integration of adaptation concepts from various sciences to analyze the development of a sport within the Olympic program.

Conclusion. The substantiated model of sport adaptation within the program of the Games of the Olympiad and the Olympic Winter Games holds significant practical value for conducting future research across various directions, as its application allows for assessing the potential and Olympic prospects of different sports.
