The purpose – to develop a classification model of environmental factors in training and competition conditions for optimizing the training system of highly qualified wrestlers.
Methods and research design. The study employed methods of theoretical analysis and synthesis of scientific and methodological literature, a systematic approach to modeling, and a questionnaire survey of leading freestyle wrestling coaches (n=38). The survey was aimed at assessing priorities in managing technical-tactical training (TTT) and identifying key problems related to the influence of external conditions. Data processing involved ranking methods, content analysis, and statistical analysis of frequency distributions.
Results and discussion. Based on the dichotomy of "factor controllability" and "the degree of its influence on competitive results», a matrix model was developed, classifying environmental factors into nine zones. Key management zones are: the zone of absolute optimization (controllable factors with high influence); the zone of strategic preparation (partially controllable factors with high influence); the zone of psychological preparation and operational response (uncontrollable factors with high influence). The survey data confirmed the practical significance of the model, revealing a deficit of systematic methods for working with factors in the zone of strategic preparation.
Conclusion. The proposed classification serves as a tool for a systems approach to management decision-making, allowing for the differentiation of working strategies with regard to environmental factors: from active formation and improvement (optimization) through forecasting and adaptation (strategic preparation) to psychological acceptance (operational response). The implementation of the model into the training process contributes to the rational allocation of resources and enhances the overall effectiveness of the training system.
