Research relevance is determined by the need for a scientific rationale for the success factors of university futsal teams' competitive performance in the context of increasing competition at the all-Russian level.
The research purpose is to identify the correlational relationships between technical-tactical performance indicators and the success of university futsal teams.
Research methods and organization included analysis of scientific and methodological literature, pedagogical observation, match video analysis, and notational analysis of technical-tactical actions. Statistical data processing was performed using Spearman's correlation analysis in the IBM SPSS Statistics 26.0 software package. The sample included data from 48 matches involving 16 university teams that participated in all-Russian competitions during the 2022-2024 period.
Results and discussion. Correlation analysis revealed the structure of relationships between components of game performance. Very high positive correlations were found between the number of goals and shooting activity indicators (ρ = 0.80; p < 0.01), high correlations between successful passes and ball possession time (ρ = 0.88; p < 0.01), and notable correlations between success and the number of dribbles (ρ = 0.62; p < 0.01) and team combinations (ρ = 0.59; p < 0.01). A negative correlation was established between the number of red cards and teams' attacking performance.
Conclusion. The success of university futsal teams in competition is determined by a combination of factors: shooting activity, ball control, individual technical skill, and quality of team interaction. The practical significance of the study lies in justifying the priority directions for technical-tactical training, such as improving shooting technique, differentiated passing drills, situational training of technical moves, practicing team combinations, and developing tactical discipline.
