Given the development of sports infrastructure in Russia, the relevance of this study stems from the need to analyze regional differences in the provision of sports facilities to citizens.
The purpose of this study is to assess the provision of sports facilities in the regions of the Russian Federation and identify trends in this indicator.
Methods and organization of the research. The research methodology includes a statistical analysis of indicators of the provision of sports facilities to citizens by region for the period 2022-2024, a comparison of population data and infrastructure changes, and a comparative analysis of the results with existing research on regional differentiation in sports infrastructure development. The study utilizes quantitative analysis and statistical data interpretation methods to identify trends and patterns. The study's results show that despite the overall increase in sports infrastructure provision, significant regional variability remains: in regions with declining populations, provision is increasing, while in regions with growing populations, infrastructure development has not kept pace with demographic changes.
Conclusion. The findings support the need to integrate demographic data into the planning and development of sports facilities, as well as to take additional measures to improve infrastructure balance.
