THE ISSUE OF PSYCHOLOGICAL AND PEDAGOGICAL PREPARATION OF ATHLETES IN RESEARCH BY SPECIALISTS IN THE FIELD OF PHYSICAL EDUCATION AND SPORTS IN 2025

The purpose of the study is to determine the problems and promising directions in the study of the psychological and pedagogical training of athletes based on the material of publications of specialists in the field of physical culture and sports for 2025.

Research methods and organization: analytical processing of scientific publications in the eLIBRARY database, regulatory analysis method.

Research Results and discussion. The article materials present analytical processing of scientific publications in the eLIBRARY database of specialists in the field of physical culture and sports for 2025. It was determined that the majority of studies focus on the content and orientation of psychological preparation for athletes in specific sports. Least attention was paid to research addressing psychological crises among athletes-including those occurring after the end of a sports career—as well as psychological vulnerability, rehabilitation, psychological selection criteria, and the historical aspects of psychological support in sports. The use of artificial intelligence in the psychological preparation of athletes was identified as a new area of study.

Conclusion. An analysis of 2025 scientific publications by specialists in the field of physical culture and sports regarding the psychological and pedagogical training of athletes has made it possible to identify the main areas of research and determine promising directions for future study in this field.
