The research purpose is to study the features of the functional state of aerobic athletes in the pre–competition training period.

Methods and organization of the research. The study was carried out during the preparation of the aerobic team of Tyumen region for the Russian Championship in 2022. Lactate concentration and blood saturation were measured during four control training sessions right after performing a competitive exercise using «Nova biomedical» lactate meter and pulse oximeter, maximal heart rate values during specialized exercise were recorded using Polar H10 pulsometer in online-service «Polar Flow».

Results. The obtained results of the maximum heart rate during the competitive exercise and blood lactate concentration after its performance in aerobist 1 averaged 197 bpm and 13.3±1.2 mmol/l, 2 – 179 bpm and 18.1±3.2 mmol/l, 3 – 164 bpm and 11, 2±1.2 mmol/l, 4 – 176 bpm and 17.9±2.1 mmol/l, which correlate with the indicators of foreign studies, both in terms of lactate level (7 to 20 mmol/l) and HR (90-95% of max), as well as overestimated lactate concentration during control training.
The majority of female aerobic athletes had a tendency to increase the blood oxygen saturation (1 – from 96% to 97%, 3 – from 98% to 99%, 4 – from 93% to 96%) and to decrease the blood lactate level (1 – from 14 to 11,6 mmol/l, 3 – from 10,6 to 10,4 mmol/l, 4 – from 20,3 to 15,2 mmol/l) by the end of the training camp, before participating in the National Championship.

Conclusion. As a result, the control of functional state of aerobic gymnasts according to HR, lactate and blood saturation indices during the pre-competition period allowed to personalize the training process in order to regulate the training load more effectively and to promote a successful performance at the National Championship 2022 (finals in the disciplines of «aerodance» and «individual women»).
