The relevance of the study is determined by the lack of theoretical validity and experimental verification of factors that can provide both positive and negative dynamics of the level of physical fitness of the shooter and the improvement of his sports skills, reflected in the effectiveness of his competitive activities. The conducted research in order to identify the factor structure of physical fitness of athletes in practical shooting in the course of solving the tasks assigned and the correct use of diagnostic tools, allowed us to obtain results, the theoretical and practical significance of which is determined by the potential for modernization of the training process, provided with data recorded in experimental activities. The applied diagnostic tools, presented by the methods of factor analysis, selection and rotation of varimax with the involvement of the statistical data analysis program SPSS 13.0 in conjunction with theoretical research methods, allowed us to confirm the formulated hypothesis of the study. The insufficiency of the information material presented in earlier studies and the importance of recognizing the factor hierarchy in the construction of the training process allows us to state the importance of the results obtained and their practical orientation. The practical significance of the research result also lies in the fact that the data obtained in the course of research activities can form a theoretical basis in the practice of implementing the training process of shooters in practical shooting. Based on the data obtained and displayed in this study, it is possible to modernize the training process by redistributing the volume, intensity, value of optimally selected tools and methods, thereby creating a stable base for the implementation of pedagogical influences focused on the growth of competitive activity indicators.
