SELECTING AND PROMOTING AN ATHLETE IN THE MIXED MARTIAL ARTS INDUSTRY (0.66 Mb, pdf) Read

Annotation:

The research purpose is to explore options for selecting and promoting an athlete in mixed martial arts.

Methods and organization of the research. The following methods were used during the research: the analysis of scientific and methodological literature, documentary sources and Internet sources. Scientific articles, official documents and Internet sites of Russian and foreign mixed martial arts promotions and Top-10 Russian MMA fighters were analyzed to achieve the goal. Strategies for the promotion of athletes were considered and the expected results of this study were described.

Research results. This article presents the results of research on the selection and promotion of athletes in mixed martial arts for more effective use of their capabilities – sports, media and financial. Options for fighters coming into mixed martial arts are described. An analysis of athlete promotion strategies is conducted. 

Conclusion. Based on the results of the analysis, the expected effects of consistent work of a fighter in the mixed martial arts industry were determined. The data obtained allow professionals to form a consistent work with athletes in mixed martial arts, which should lead to an increase in sports, media and financial performance.
