The purpose of the research. Analysis and construction of a system of regulatory and legal support for the activities of a sports manager.

Research methods and organization. The research was conducted on the basis of studying and analyzing legislative and other regulatory legal acts in the field of physical culture and sports, publications of Russian and foreign experts in sports law, synthesis, systematization and formalization of the information received in the form of diagrams and tables.

Research results and their discussion. The analysis of the legal field of the sports manager allowed us to conclude that the domestic legislation on physical culture and sports is a set of regulatory legal acts, including a variety of sources. In order to meet the professional standard, a sports manager must have competencies in various branches of law (constitutional, civil, labor, sports, international and other branches).

Conclusion. Competent and effective management of a physical culture and sports organization in the conditions of constant development of legal regulation of sports relations is possible only if the manager relies on a modern regulatory framework and has the appropriate knowledge in the field of management of physical culture and sports activities.
