The purpose of the research is to identify a variety of throwing actions in men and women at competitions of various levels in belt wrestling.

Methods and organization of the research. With the help of pedagogical observation of the competitive activity of belt wrestlers, a comparative analysis of attacking actions at the three largest competitions of 2021 was carried out: the 2021 World Championship, the Russian Championship and the All-Russian Belt Wrestling Competitions among students. In total, 902 bouts of 373 athletes were analyzed, of which 275 were men and 98 were women.

The results of the research. The analysis showed that at the current stage of the development of belt wrestling, the most popular types of throwing techniques are single-support and double-support, which are performed mainly from the right side. At the same time, there are differences in the techniques performed between women and men, as well as in the level of competition. Thus, women at the World Cup have 59.9% of all techniques for the three most frequently used ones, men - 37.7%. At the Russian Championship, women's three techniques account for 67.1% of all techniques, men's - 41.1%. At the All–Russian belt wrestling competitions among students, women account for 61.7% of all techniques for three techniques, men - 35.0%.

Conclusion. At the current stage of belt wrestling development, there is a significant discrepancy in the level of competition between men and women, manifested in the number of participants and technical preparedness. At the same time, it was revealed that regardless of the athlete's sports qualifications or gender, the most effective direction in the training process is to increase the number of motor actions, as well as their ambidence.
