The research purpose: organization of training process for female basketball players aged 15-16 years, including means and methods aimed at creating the rhythm and tempo of movements to develop correctness, accuracy, resourcefulness and rationality of movements.
Research methods. Within the framework of the establishing and forming stages of the experiment, which lasted eight months, 21 female basketball players aged 15-16 years took part. The formative experiment was divided into two stages, each lasting four months. As part of the first stage, exercises were used with the target focus on the speed and correctness of movement execution, aimed at mastering the rhythm and tempo with the inclusion of dance movements in the classes, with a change in the usual conditions of performance due to musical accompaniment, with a given tempo and rhythm. At the second stage, sets of exercises were created in order to develop resourcefulness and rationality when performing movements. Exercises were used alternating different types of rhythms (random, regular, variable, undulating and progressive).
Research results. According to the data of results evaluation in tests accepted in basketball, positive dynamics in the indicators of intellectual and motor tasks was established. Statistically significant differences were found in the indices of time estimation of the attack duration, movements with changes in speed and direction, as well as in the indices of intellectual mobility in relation to the initial level, the indices achieved at the final stage in relation to the intermediate stage (2nd stage).
Conclusion. Positive, but statistically insignificant, differences in the test "braking distance" were established. The “intellectual mobility” test revealed significant differences within the group of female athletes at all stages of testing, which can be taken as an indicator for selecting promising players to continue their sports career.
