The purpose of the study is to determine the current state of the Russian Student Rowing League (SRL) for 2021, to consider the main components of the concept, to identify the involvement of Russian universities in participation in the SRL, to compile a ranking of the leaders of the past seasons.
Research methods and organization. The following theoretical research methods were used: analysis of literary sources and documentary materials, systematization, classification, analysis and synthesis, generalization.
Research results. The analysis of literary sources and documentary materials posted on the official website of the Student Rowing League showed that the SRL in Russia has a strictly regulated base. The involvement of Russian universities in participation in the SRL is 11%, 3840 students from different regions of Russia are registered on the SRL website.
Conclusion. In a very short time, the Student Rowing League was able to take root in the Student Sports system. The experience of foreign universities was used, in which the system of student sports works at a high level and shows excellent results. Currently, in Russia, the results of the leading teams of the SRL are not inferior to the athletes of the highest sportsmanship level. We found out that the competition calendar has its own peculiarities related to the contingent of participants. SRL combines a symbiosis of a successful combination of study and achievement of high sports results.
