Article
The article presents a fragment of large–scale study conducted at the Voronezh State Academy of Sports (hereinafter – VSAS). The study is aimed at the scientific substantiation of the correction of the main professional educational program of higher education (hereinafter - MPEP HE) in the direction of training 49.03.01 “Physical culture”, profile “Physical education”. The full range of studies consistently includes: 1) identification of the needs of the Voronezh region in the implementation of labor functions by workers in the field of physical culture and sports; 2) identification of professional standards in demand in the region in the field of physical culture and sports; 3) study of interdisciplinary preparedness of students studying in the direction of 49.03.01 “Physical culture”, profile “Physical education”. The results of the first two stages of the study were published earlier [3-6]. The results of the third stage are published for the first time.
The research purpose is to determine effective approaches to correcting MPEP HE in the direction of training 49.03.01 “Physical culture”, profile “Physical education” on the basis of a differentiated analysis of the data on the interdisciplinary preparedness of students studying in this program.
Methods and organization of research. The study was carried out in the second term of the 2020-21 academic year and included: preliminary development of the content of control tests, conducting control tests, mathematical processing and analysis of the data obtained. The interdisciplinary control tests consisted of three parts: 1) theoretical control tests (category “Knowledge”); 2) control tests to identify methodological skills in teaching basic sports (category “Skills”); 3) control tests to identify practical skills in preparing and conducting a training session in a basic sport (category “Skills”). 42 students took part in the study. The main research methods used are: control tests, questionnaire surveys, expert assessment, methods of mathematical statistics, analysis, generalization, systematization.
Conclusion. Most of the analyzed indicators of interdisciplinary preparedness of VSAS students are achieved on average by 50-60%, which is not an impeccable result, since when converted into academic scores, this level basically corresponds to the grade “satisfactory”. This allows us to conclude that when correcting the MPEP HE in the direction of training 49.03.01 “Physical culture”, profile “Physical education”, it is advisable to make appropriate changes to the content of the program concerning the curriculum, the disciplines it contains, as well as the order of studying and mastering.
