Article
The research purpose is to develop a conceptual model for the introduction of psychotraining into the system of long-term training of athletes.
Materials and methods of research. An analysis of special literature (domestic and foreign) was carried out, which made it possible to identify the most common psychotrainings used in the psychological training of athletes. Specific psychotraining should be used taking into account the type of sport, sports qualification and age of the athlete. However, this position was not reflected in the analyzed literature. Knowledge about the possibilities of psychotraining in the training of athletes, taking into account their qualification and age, is generalized. Using the methods of theoretical research, comparative analysis, generalization, studying the literature on sports psychology and the theory of sports training, the conceptual model of introducing psychotraining in the system of a long-term training process was substantiated.
Research results. The article presents the distribution of psychological trainings in the system of long-term sports training. The presented distribution of psychotrainings corresponds to the tasks solved at a particular stage of long-term training of athletes. At the stage of initial training, psychotechnical games and exercises are recommended for the development of mental functions that determine the successful mastery of the chosen sport. At the training stage, psychotrainings are used to create the athlete’s psychological preparedness for competitions. At the stage of sports improvement, the use of psychotraining is aimed at teaching athletes how to independently create mental readiness to perform competitive exercises. At the stage of the highest sportsmanship, the purpose of psychotraining is to create a state of readiness for the athlete to demonstrate record achievements.
Conclusion. The results of the analysis of psychological literature allowed us to identify a significant number of psychotrainings recommended for improving the psychological preparation of athletes. At the same time, there are no recommendations on the use of psychotraining in the system of long-term training of athletes. The materials presented in the article supplement the technology for introducing psychotraining into the system of psychological training of athletes, taking into account age and sports qualification.
