The purpose is to improve the scientific and methodical support of the Olympic athletes training in sports for people with musculoskeletal disorders on the example of track and field using developed proposals on process organization. Tasks: analysis of actual, statistical and literary data of scientific and methodical support of training athletes with musculoskeletal disorders; determination of the major ways of activities improvement in the framework of scientific and methodical support; justification and development of proposals and measures for the comprehensive control of Paralympic athletes training. Results: the authors studied research papers and activities of the complex research group from 2009 to 2016 concerning sport for people with musculoskeletal disorders on the example of track and field. The following findings were revealed: the lack of a systematic approach to the formation of the sports reserve of the national teams of athletes with musculoskeletal disorders; the need for individualization of Paralympic athletes training; a specific training regime for athletes, which requires regular and sustainable scientific and methodical support, including assessment of competitive activities of Paralympic athletes during major season events. Conclusions: In accordance with the obtained study results the authors propose to implement the system approach to the assessment of the functional body state, which involves the use of software and hardware complexes for the rapid assessment of the level of physical, functional and psychological fitness of Paralympic athletes during a macrocycle. In addition, it seems advisable to improve the scientific and methodic support of Olympic athletes in sports for people with musculoskeletal disorders on the example of track and field by enhancing the correction speed of training process, as well as by using standardized protocols and visualization methods for introducing results into practice of coaches and athletes activities.
