New kinds of sport and sport disciplines appear nowadays. The majority of them are created on the base of traditional kinds of sport. Training sportsmen of these disciplines is based on the existent theoretical and methodical basis. Nowadays such an approach to the highly qualified sportsmen training process organization is not very efficient. So it actualizes the further research necessity of the sportsmen training in every sport discipline problem, further research, scientific substantiation of training process creating and realization at all sport training stages, and particularly in its circannian cycle. The theoretical underpinning of the snowboarders training process prob-lem investigation as well as the necessity of special methods for highly qualified snowboarders training in a circannian cycle are viewed in the article. The theoretical analysis results are also shown here. During the analysis the snowboarding specific features are found out. They are associated with the motion goal, external conditions, competitions rules and cooperation with other participants. The direction presuming training process effectiveness increasing is defined in the article. This direction contributes to competitive action success which can bee expressed by the necessity of working out special methods of highly qualified snowboarders training in a circannian cycle. The supposed scientific originality of the research, expressed by the guidelines on the basis of which the working out special methods of highly qualified snowboarders training in a circannian cycle is carried out, is also defined here. The principle of superposition is used in this work. The experimental method is based on the following fundamental prin-ciples: 1) the used means and methods must be chosen taking into account the similitude aspect of the «snowboard cross» sport discipline competitive activities; 2) they also have to be characterized by rational subsequence and duration of using differently oriented loadings. The ground of the process is the advanced change of the snowboarders’ special physical training level and maintaining it during a competitive period.
