Annotation:

Purpose of research: to assess physical fitness of schoolchildren aged 9 - 10 according to the standards of II step of Russian National GTO («Ready for Labor and Defense») Health and Fitness program. Methods and organization of research. The assessment of physical fitness of schoolchildren aged 9 – 10 according to the standards of II step of Russian National GTO («Ready for Labor and Defense») Health and Fitness program was carried out at the MBU ZFP “NADEZHDA” testing center in Surgut. Data collected from 2206 participants (schoolchildren aged 9 – 10) according to the standards of II step of Russian National GTO («Ready for Labor and Defense») Health and Fitness program were processed using online technology www.rosinwebc.ru. Results of research. The paper contains statistic data collected from 2206 participants (schoolchildren aged 9 – 10) concerning the completion of State requirements for standards of GTO program, II step. The obtained results revealed that 36.7% of boys and 35.9% of girls are ready to complete State requirements of GTO program, II step in the 9 – 10 age category. The boys showed the following results: “Golden mark” – 3.4%, “Silver mark” – 26.8% and “Bronze mark” – 6.4%. 63.3% of total number of boys did not manage to complete the standards. The girls showed the following results: “Golden mark” – 6.1%, “Silver mark” – 23.7% and “Bronze mark” – 6.1%. 64.1% of total number of girls aged 9-10 did not manage to complete the standards. Conclusion. The greatest difficulties when completing the standards of II step of Russian National GTO («Ready for Labor and Defense») Health and Fitness program were showed by schoolchildren aged 9 – 10 (both boys and girls) in Power and Speed-Power physical activities.
