The paper is focused on the physical training problem in the framework of vocational and physical training of internal affairs officers. During their service period the internal affairs officers perform various physical activities connected with dislocation (walking and running), rise and descent from buildings, overcoming obstacles, carrying out activities on detention of offenders etc. All this should be considered when planning physical training classes within office service and self-training. It can be assumed that the most part of working hours an internal affairs officer spend moving actively, and the last working hours he spends for the actions connected with prosecution, detention and escort of offenders. However, the actions connected with pursuit, detention and escort of offenders are the most life-threatening ones for a police officer himself as well as for people surrounding him. Therefore these activities will be the most responsible and important. In this regard training of the officer for these activities should take a lot of time. Applied gymnastics and athletic training classes are aimed at development of dexterity, force, power endurance, courage and determination, formation of a correct posture and development of a habit for front smartness.
