The study involved 2418 students aged 17-23 years (1538 boys and 880 girls; nest sample; gender ratio corresponded to the proportions of the general number of students at all university departments). The survey aimed at revealing the attitude of students to online physical education and sports classes on the Blackboard platform of the KNRTU-KAI, and their views on the quality of online classes.
Results. The research data show that distance learning in physical education and sports is characterized by lower efficiency. Students do not favor it. It does not bring the desired achievements and results in adjusting their significant and obvious physical indicators. At the same time, it can be an additional element of «Physical education and sports» elective course.
Conclusion. The use of e-learning at the university can only be considered as an auxiliary teaching tool and should not be a substitute for the main form of education. The study process is bilateral, as it involves the interaction of two subjects: an educator and a student.
