The development of infoturism in the Republic of Tatarstan: the project approach (0.29 Mb, pdf) Read

Annotation:

The article discusses the prospects for the development of infoturism in the Republic of Tatarstan as a separate direction of tourism focused on the accessibility of objects of historical and cultural heritage of persons with disabilities. The authors, analyzing the problem, identifying a number of contradictions, among which the most significant are the following: the tourist potential of the Republic, Kazan for this category of citizens remains untapped. The study of the activities of tour operators, travel agents to provide tourism services for persons with disabilities of various nosologies, including mobile limited, needs of persons with disabilities in the availability of unique objects allowed to define the problem field of the research – what are the conditions for the formation of infoturism in the Republic and its capital? Increasing dynamics of positive trends associated with the implementation of a number of policy documents on the rights of persons with disabilities, creation of barrier free environment were the prerequisites of public awareness of the importance of the issue that stimulated a series of research challenges – the role of authorities and local self-government, business, non-profit organizations in solving problems, the involvement of educational institutions, citizens in the development of the theme. The authors note that in the discussion field, researchers can analyze the nature and content of the basic concepts and categories identified problems – social tourism, inclusive tourism, accessible tourism, infoturism, the search for effective mechanisms and technologies of its constructive solutions. The project approach allowed the authors to develop a model of social partnership in the development of infoturism in the Republic with involvement in the solution of the problem by all stakeholders, pooling of resources – administrative, logistical, innovative, and others, where educational organizations occupy a special place. The results of the study, including the experience of personal involvement of the authors in implementing the ideas of inclusion, on the recommendation of the Department of service and tourism of the Volga region state Academy of physical culture, sports and tourism are included in the work programs of individual disciplines in the areas of Tourism, Services, Hospitality, development of key competences of students and their participation in solving critical social problems.
