Annotation:

The research aimed to investigate the archery muscle effort with the help of electromyography. The leading muscles, which provide the shooting act, were singled out. The data on the duration and the order of leading muscle recruitment and the main EMG characteristics of the archery shot were gathered. It was found out that, depending on the shooting phase, the muscle activity control is exercised by the programmed or correction effort control mechanisms. The comparative muscle EMG-activity analysis has shown the value of muscle effort during archery was 5-30% of the relevant muscle maximal force.
