Annotation:

The article presents information on cardiorespiratory stress testing as a universal method of determining the level of physical performance. Maximum oxygen consumption is a measure of aerobic capacity and integral indicator of the oxygen transport system. The method and process of test for athletes is described. Article presents data on the studying of 33 athletes specializing in various kinds of sport. It is noted that athletes with low fat mass, reach high numbers of relative rate of maximum oxygen consumption. Absolute rate of maximum oxygen consumption is in direct relation to body weight.
