FORMATION AND DEVELOPMENT OF GYMNASTICS IN EDUCATIONAL INSTITUTIONS OF CRIMEA SINCE MID-XIX TO EARLY XX CENTURY (0.72 Mb, pdf) Read

Annotation:

The purpose is to study the process of formation and development of gymnastics, as the core element of physical education in educational institutions of Crimea since mid-XIX to early XX century. Research methods. We used historical and general theoretical research methods in our study. Research results and discussion. Analysis and generalization of literature and electronic resources revealed that gymnastics as the element of physical education had been actively developed during the studied period. It was a period of transition from militarized exercises to more progressive gymnastics system. The peculiarity of the formation of gymnastics in Crimea was the use of innovative pedagogical wellness techniques, considering the climatic characteristics of the region. The most important form of physical education was the participation of students in various parades, gymnastics festivals, national and international competitions.
