The research purpose is to identify the features of morphological and functional indicators and physical fitness of women of the second mature age.
Methods and organization of the research. To achieve the goal, we used the following methods:
1) anthropometry; 2) bioimpedance measurement; 3) questioning (questionnaire survey aimed at identifying dysfunctions of the pelvic floor muscles); 4) pedagogical testing; 5) gas analysis on a bicycle ergometer; 6) stabilometry. Statistical processing of the obtained data was carried out using the SPSS 20 program.
Research results and discussion. The results of the ascertaining experiment made it possible to reveal a number of features in women of the second mature age. It was found that with age in women of this category, morphological changes are observed, namely in terms of body weight, the percentage of subcutaneous fat, muscle mass and body girth. The indicators of physical fitness of women of the second mature age are at a low level. This is also evident from the data of the cardiorespiratory system at the threshold of anaerobic metabolism and BMD.
When studying the features of the balance of women in this category, there is a tendency to a deterioration in balance depending on age, this is especially manifested with the loss of visual control.
Conclusion. When drawing up health programs with women of the second mature age, it is important to take into account a number of features that we identified in the course of the ascertaining experiment, namely: 1) deterioration of strength indicators; 2) low mobility of the spine and joints; 3) decreased performance and endurance; 4) deterioration of balance; 5) weakness of the pelvic floor muscles.
