SPORTS-BASED CHARITABLE ACTIVITIES IN RUSSIA (0.31 Mb, pdf) Read

Annotation:

Purpose of the study: to study the features of charitable activities in Russia and to analyze the volume of external social programs and donations for sports of the largest Russian companies and specialized charitable foundations.

Research methods. In this study, we used the system analysis methodology as well as analytical, comparative and statistical research methods.

Research results and discussion. The research revealed that Russian companies largely support development programs for professional sports and large sports projects. At the same time, the funds allocated by companies for charitable activities in the field of sports and physical education can be as high as 50% of the total volume of social expenditures of the company. Sports charitable foundations provide essential financial and material support to specific current or former athletes, amateur sports and physical education development.

Conclusion. The study found that sports-based charitable activities in Russia is not structured and do not have common patterns and operating principles.
