METHODOLOGY FOR FORMING AN INCLUSIVE CULTURE IN MEDICAL UNIVERSITY STUDENTS IN PHYSICAL EDUCATION CLASSES (0.24 Mb, pdf) Read

Annotation:

The research purpose is to develop a special methodology for developing an inclusive culture among medical students through volunteer support of the motor activity of children with disabilities.

Methods and organization of the research. Scientific work was carried out on the basis of methods of analysis of scientific and methodological literature and regulatory documents, modeling, logical interpretation and conclusions.

Research results and discussion. The developed methodology has a specific structure, where each of its components is interconnected. The general direction of the pedagogical process is set by goals that focus on the formation of an inclusive culture among medical students through tutoring activities. The means to achieve this goal were theoretical classes to explain the specifics of the development of children with disabilities and their motor training and direct volunteer activities within the framework of physical education classes. The work was carried out on the basis of methods of explanation, practical implementation of tutoring activities: helping the child, insurance, passive and passive-active performance of movements. The pedagogical process was implemented through lectures and practical physical education classes.

Conclusion. The developed methodology is characterized by the integrity and interconnectedness of its components. It was introduced into the training process of medical students. As part of testing the methodology, physical education classes were conducted with children with Down syndrome, autism spectrum disorder and mental retardation. Changes were also made to the content of academic disciplines. The implemented process has shown its effectiveness.
